Report of John William Rose, Recorder of London, on John White, convicted for stealing a pair of collar clinks and other articles, value 3/6. Grounds for clemency: was recommended by the foreman of the jury, has an offer of employment and received a bad education from his father who died in Newgate convicted of the same offence. Recommendation: pardon on condition that a reputable tradesman gives £30 security for his good conduct for 2 years.
