Description

Certificate/memorial of Richard Perryn concerning William Stephenson, convicted at the Durham Assizes Durham on 3 August 1784[?], for felony and sheep stealing. Grounds for clemency: 'some favourable Circumstances' appeared on his trial. Initial sentence: not given. Recommendation: 2 years hard labour on the River Thames.
