Certificate/memorial of Edward Willes on those capitally convicted at the 'last' Lancashire Assizes at Lancaster) reprieved on 'some favourable Circumstances' and recommended for mercy on the conditions set against their names:
1. John Bradburn, for felony and burglary, breaking and entering the house and stealing various goods and money, property of Ellen Hague, widow. Recommendation: 2 years hard labour (from 23 March 1784[?]) on the River Thames.
2. William Thompson alias William Williams, for a highway robbery, assault and violently stealing 2 guineas in gold and 10/- in silver, from John Osbaldeston. Recommendation: 2 years imprisonment in Lancaster Castle (from 23 March 1784[?])..
3. Sarah Mawdsley, for stealing a bay gelding, value £3, property of John Pennington. Recommendation: 1 years hard labour in the Preston House of Correction (from 23 March 1784[?].
4. James Higginbotham, for horse stealing, reprieved but still remaining in gaol. Recommendation: mercy 'for such Punishment as shall be adjudged proper'.
