Report of Lord Loughborough on Anne Aborough, convicted at the Surrey Summer Assizes in 1788, for stealing a gown and pair of sheets. Mention is made of a petition signed by the prisoner's parents and supported by a report (requested by the judge) of churchwardens and others of St. Saviour's, Southwark. Grounds for clemency: parents have lived at Southwark for more than 20 years and have a good reputation, and are willing to take her home and provide for her. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Recommendation: free pardon.
