Report of John Wilson on William Noble, convicted in June 1785, for stealing a truck containing clothing from an unnamed person described as a porter. Grounds for clemency: prisoner had been on hulk and prison ships (with hard labour) since 1785 and the punishment undergone is considered adequate from his crime. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Recommendation: free pardon.
