Report of James Eyre on 1 collective petition (8 people) on behalf of Daniel Whitehouse, convicted at the 'last' Staffordshire Assizes, for stealing wool from a 'Wool Chamber', property of Joseph Sparrow of Wolverhampton, on the night of 14/15 November 1784. Grounds for clemency: his age (56 years), previous good character, and has a wife and 11 children to support. Initial sentence: not given. Recommendation: no mercy.
