Outline map of the area between 70° and 85°E and between 15°N and the Equator, covering part of India, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), the Laccadive Islands (now part of Ladakshweep, India) and the Maldives. Shows rocks, shoals, lights and coastal features. Scale: 1 inch to about 70 miles. Based on a map compiled in the Surveyor General's Office, India, which was supplied by H C P Bell, [Ceylon Civil Service]; traced by J Stoddart, Surveyor General's Office, Colombo, Ceylon, 28 May 1880; lithographed at the Surveyor General's Office, Colombo. Formerly accompanying a print, produced in 1883, of Ceylon Sessional Paper XIII, 1881.
