Description

'Port Louis Mauritius by Commander G. Evans, R.N. 1819'. Hydrographic chart showing soundings, fortifications. Scale: 9 inches to 1.5 nautical miles. Compass rose. Insets: enlarged chart of Le Trou Fanfaron; view from Cooper's Island to Fort Blanc. Engraved by J & C Walker. Published at the Hydrographical Office of the Admiralty, 2 May 1831. Red ink addition [?1845] shows position of ice house.
