South-eastern Europe. Map showing part of the Ottoman Empire (now in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey) west of Constantinople (now Istanbul). Scale: 1.5 inches to 110 miles. Based on Kiepert's map of Turkey; enlarged by photozincography at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1877. MS additions, coloured, showing the routes described in reports of surveys by Lieutenant H Chermside, Royal Engineers.
