Caucasus and Turkey. 2 copies of a map of the area between 39° and 46°E and between 38° and 42°N (now in Armenia, Georgia and Turkey), showing rivers, hachures, roads, place names. Scale: 7.65 cm to 60 versts. Published by the Russian Imperial Staff. Different MS additions, coloured, to each item, showing boundaries; those on item 2 include the new Russian frontier in Armenia. Item 1 is endorsed, on reverse, with MS notes about sanjaks; notes are signed: F C H Clarke. Originally enclosed in Lord A Loftus's despatch, 10 April 1878; subsequently among Sir Lintorn Simmons's papers on the boundary of Turkey according to the Treaty of San Stefano.
