Description

Ottoman and Russian Empires. 'Map to accompany military report enclosed in Mr. Layard's [despatch] No. 1055 of Sept. 5th 1877'; showing the sites and dates of battles, the locations of Turkish and Russian forces, towns, peaks, roads etc in area between Kars (now in Turkey) and Alexandropol (now Gyumri, Armenia). Reference table. Scale: approx 4 inches to 20 versts. Lithographed at the Intelligence Branch, Quartermaster General's Department, 1877.
