Walvis Bay (now part of Namibia). 'Africa West Coast Walfisch Bay Settlement'. Scale: 1 inch to about 5 sea miles. Compass rose. Based on the coastal survey by Captain W F W Owen, Royal Navy, 1825; engraved by Davies & Company; published 20 October 1878; corrected to 1882. Inset: chart of Walvis Bay on a larger scale, showing that the inner bay was resounded by Navigating Lieutenant Baynham, 1879. Originally enclosed in a Colonial Office despatch, 29 April 1892.
