Plans and elevations showing Major Strickland's proposals for the outline arrangement of armoured steam cars. (4) Scheme 1189: with marine type power plant; (5) Scheme 1190: with locomotive drive; (6) Scheme 1191: with single driving wheel and twin engines; (7) Scheme 1192: 1189 and 1190 in hazardous situations and giving their size relative to i) a field gun, ii) a train, iii) a 31/2 ton lorry and iv) a house; (8) Scheme 1193: with 2-wheel drive and compound marine type engine. Produced by J I Thornycroft & Co Ltd, Basingstoke and London, Locomotive Manufacturers. Reference tables on (6) and (8). Scales: (4)-(6) and (8) 1 inch to 4 feet; (7) 1 inch to 16 feet. Dimensions of sheets between 121.5 cm x 97 cm and 50 cm x 93 cm.
