(1) Key to (2), apparently drawn up by the commissioners, who state in a note at its head that they viewed the ground and collected evidence on 26 March, 30 Elizabeth I. (2) Plan to show 'Meane Marsh' and lands in Drayton (Oving) and Merston: hedges, trees, fields, roads, crosses, earth pits; land ownership. Houses, pound, gates, barn, in simple elevation. Surrounding villages denoted by churches (faint) and text label. Solid black border: traces of penned gridlines, with numbers (largely obscured) in border. No scale shown. Cardinal points: oriented to the south. Exchequer stamp on dorse. Signed by the commissioners: William Bartlett, Anthony Sherley, and Owin Onley; and William Mill. Both sheets stamped 'Star Chamber Elizabeth'.
