North Sea: (40) 'Diagram shewing order of the Battlefleet Battle off Jutland 31 st May 1916'. Scale: [1:145,728 (calculated)]. (41) 'Plan of Battle off Jutland May 31 st 1916': British and enemy tracks. Reference table. Scale: [1:171,072 (calculated)]. On sheet 74cm x 55cm. Both signed J R Jellicoe, Admiral, 19 June 1916. Lithographed by Malby & Sons, December 1920 to illustrate print of Jellicoe's despatch of 29 Aug 1916: plates 4a and 5a in Official Despatches relating to the Battle of Jutland (Cmd 1068). Although (41) was submitted by Jellicoe as a revised version of MPI 1/671/44, a footnote to the print indicates that Jellicoe subsequently considered the earlier plan to be more correct.
