North Sea. 'Diagrammatic Sketch, as seen from Control Top of "Duke of Edinburgh" showing positions of ships and squadrons relatively to"D of E" at various times from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. GMT on 31 st May 1916'. Scale: 5 inches to 10 miles. Compass indicator. Signed by J K B Birch, Lieutenant Commander, and Henry Blackett, Captain. To illustrate Blackett's despatch of 4 June 1916, enclosed in Home Fleet letter no 1415/0022 of 20 June 1916 from J R Jellicoe, Admiral, Royal Navy. Subsequently lithographed by Malby & Sons, December 1920, as plate 11a in Official Despatches relating to the Battle of Jutland (Cmd 1068). This is a copy of the printed chart.
