North Sea: track chart of HMS Canterbury on 31 May 1916. Also shows courses of 3rd Light Cruiser Squadron, 1st and 3rd Battle Cruiser Squadrons, and enemy vessels. Reference table. Compass indicator. Lithographed by Malby & Sons, December 1920. To illustrate print of despatch of 2 June 1916 from Percy Royds, Captain, Royal Navy, enclosed in Home Fleet letter no 1415/0022 of 20 June 1916 from J R Jellicoe, Admiral, Royal Navy: plate 23 in Official Despatches relating to the Battle of Jutland (Cmd 1068). Royds described this chart as 'a rough track chart of the impression that remains in my mind of the approximate movements'.
