4 items (originally illustrating print of Governor Sir S Rowe's despatch number 127 of 18 July 1885) extracted from CO 879/21/16. Four sketch maps of Sierra Leone. (15) 'Rough sketch shewing Casseh Lake creeks leading out on eastern end.' Scale: approximately 1 inch to 1 mile. Compass indicator. By Edmund Peel. 3 April 1885. (16) 'Sketch route Lavanna to Sulymah.' Scale: approximately 1 inch to 1 mile. Time scale for the journey by the land route. Compass indicator. By Robert E Pownall, Colonial Surveyor, Sierra Leone. Inset: a sketch of the junction with the Gallinas River. 4 April 1885. (17) 'Route sketch Sulmah to Lavannavia River Kiffey and Bombateneh.' Scale: approximately 1 inch to 1 mile. Compass indicator.
