Inset: more detailed map showing possible troop landing-places at the mouth of the Umululazi (not identified, possibly Umfolozi or Mhlatuzi) River, with note: 'Discovered by E.F. Rathbourne 1852 and re-examined 1853'. Signed N Newnham-Davis, Lieutenant, The Buffs [3rd or East Kent Regiment of Foot]. Lithographed by Dangerfield.
