1 item extracted from CO 879/50/3. West Africa. 'Map of the countries to the West of the Middle and Lower Niger' with coloured, MS additions. Key showing British and French posts and penetration inland. Notes on strengths of garrisons. Boundary lines. Published 22 October 1897; amended and corrected to 12 November 1897. MS additions show proposed and actual frontiers, dates of treaties, British and French garrisons and posts. 4 October 1897. The map extends from 4°W to 6°E and to 14°N.
