Balkan Peninsula: (2) 'Positions de Defense des Armées alliées': map of the area between Lake Ochrida and the Aegean Sea (now in Albania and Macedonia), showing the distribution of English and Serbian armies, with changes in front lines. (3) 'Carte des Routes': map of the area (now in Greece, Albania and Macedonia) between Corfu, the Gulf of Salonica, Thasos and approximately 41°30'N, showing roads and railways. Both maps are composed of sheets of the Austrian Staff Map, joined. MS additions, coloured; typed and dyeline reference tables to the MS additions are affixed. Reproduced by the zincographic press of the Service Géographique de l'Armée (some sheets). To illustrate a plan of defence for the Salonika Front, produced by General Guillaumat, Commander-in-Chief, Allied Armies, 6 April 1918. Dimensions: (2) 70 cm x 156.5 cm; (3) 114 cm x 213 cm.
