1 item extracted from AIR 1/449/15/306/5. 'English Channel': map of the southern coasts of England and Ireland and the northern coast of France, showing soundings. Reference table. Compass roses. Surveyed 1877-1881 and 1889-1890; [?produced June 1882]; [?revised October 1913]; magnetic variation to 1917. MS additions, coloured, marking the locations of existing British and French airship stations and the locations of proposed portable sheds; pencilled additions, coloured, marking gridlines, the prevailing wind direction, and unexplained lines. MS labels, identifying the stations, and a reference table are affixed to the map.
