Map no 2: 'Lancashire County Council. British Electricity Authority, North Western Division'. Reproduction of a number of Ordnance Survey sheets joined to show area between Livesey, Haslinden, Hindley and Eccles, and centred on Bolton. Labels affixed to the original indicate local authorities. Compass indicator. Produced by U Aylmer Coates, County Planning Officer. Coloured MS additions show proposed route of the 275,000-volt transmission line as submitted; alternative route; route as approved; route of existing 132,000-volt transmission line; and area of great landscape value. Reference table to additions.
