Reproduction of Ordnance Survey one-inch map sheets joined to show area of Lancashire between Preston, Wigan, Manchester and Burnley. Coloured MS additions show routes of proposed 132,000-volt and 275,000-volt power lines between Carrington and Monk Fryston via Penwortham and Rochdale. Originally enclosed in letter of 27 May 1953 to the Town Clerk, Bolton.
