Reproduction of Ordnance Survey one-inch map sheets joined to show area of Lancashire between Preston, Wigan, Manchester and Burnley. Coloured MS additions show routes of power line between Carrington and Penwortham, as originally proposed and as modified. Originally enclosed in letter of 10 September 1953 from B L Heighway, Senior Wayleave Officer, British Electricity Authority, to D M McKellan, Borough Engineer, Bolton.
