'Sketch map showing the area and position of the kingdom [of Ife]': also showing the road travelled by commissioners in 1886, and rivers; (the territory shown is now in western Nigeria). Lithographed by Dangerfield, Covent Garden, December [18]88. Originally enclosed with a treaty between the Government of Lagos and the King of the Ife kingdom, 22 May 1888, and a letter from Governor Alfred Moloney, 10 October 1888; according to the register of correspondence [for Lagos] (CO 421/6), the [MS] originals of the map and the documents it accompanied were destroyed under statute.
