Description

Cape Colony (now part of South Africa). 'Macloutsi[e] camp': plan, showing the Matlaputa and Sapetange Rivers, relief, vegetation, roads and buildings, a fort and the site of the old camp. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator to magnetic north. Lithographed by Wyman and Sons, Ltd. Produced to accompany a report on [illegal] land occupation in the vicinity of the camp, from R Grey, Major Commanding, Bechuanaland Border Police, Mafeking (Mafikeng), to the Colonial Secretary, Vryburg, 6 March 1895; originally enclosed in a print (Confidential Print number 186, published 21 August 1895) of despatch number 132 from Sir Henry B Loch, Governor and High Commissioner, Cape Town, 25 March 1895.
