Zante (now Zakynthos, Greece). 7 sheets of maps and plans. (11) 'Piano e sezioni del molo di Zante': plan and cross sections of proposed mole at Zante (Zakynthos) town. Scale: 1 inch to about 80 feet. [By] Read, Director General of Public Works, Corfu, 23 January 1839; approved by Thomas John Gisborne, Segretario del Senato al Dipto. Generale, Corfu, 30 January 1839. (12) Map showing the coast and Zante town, with villages, mountatains and roads in the hinterland. South-west at the top. (13) Plan of the public garden, showing named buildings, the waterfront and part of a mole. North-east at the top. (14-16) 'Design for a Prison at Zante to contain 106 prisoners and an Infirmary': 3 sheets of plans, elevations and cross-sections. Scale: 1 inch to about 11 feet. (17) Plan of the Palazzo di Giustitia [law courts] Reference table. Dimensions: (11) 38.5 cm x 53.5 cm; (12) 25 cm x 33 cm; (13) 25 cm x 33 cm; (14-15) each 40.5 cm x 55 cm; (16) 55 cm x 77 cm; (17) 48 cm x 33 cm. [?] Some or all items originally enclosed with a report on Zante from Francesco Domeneghini [to the Governor general], 13 November 1841.
