Burma (now Myanmar). 'Sketch Map of the Operation of 18th Division in Kamaing Area Late June 1944': shows Mogaung River, place names, jungle path, fortified positions, headquarters, lines of attack. Scale: 10.4 cm to 5 km. Compass indicator. MS additions show Allied lines of attack (red); and Japanese front lines (1st and 2nd phases), main attack, withdrawal, divisional headquarters and mountain artillery (blue). Marked Appendix IV' in lower left corner, partially obliterated; 'Map 4' pencilled in upper right corner. To illustrate chapter 2 ('18th Division Operations in the Hukawng Valley, October 1943-June 1944').
