Egypt. 'Nile Delta'. Map showing railways, roads, tracks and canals. Reference table. Printed by Geographical Section, General Staff, 1942. Over-printed title: 'British Troops in Egypt. (Delta Area Only.)'. Coloured over-printing shows boundaries of military areas and districts (16 Area, 17 Area, Canal North District and Canal South District); military headquarters; 1936 Treaty Zone; minimum area required for administrative installations. Ink stamped: 'Annex 1'. To illustrate Chiefs of Staff report, 'Implications of the Evacuation of British Troops from the Cairo and Alexandria Areas' (Cabinet Defence Committee paper D.O. (46) 39 (Revise) of 16 March 1946).
