1 item extracted from AIR 1/636/17/122/131. Suffolk: Shotley Gate. 'K.B. [Kite Balloon] Section as proposed': map of the village, showing roads, buildings, fields, a pier, and a wharf; also showing the Light Cruiser Squadron balloon site, with wires to be buried and poles, lamp standards, wooden shelters and trees to be removed. Compass indicator; cardinal points. Originally enclosed with a letter from J D Mackworth, Kite Balloon Section, Dewer House, Haymarket, SW, 15 January 1917, suggesting a slight alteration to the site.
