(446) and (458) Front and back covers, originally enclosing (447)-(457). Front cover stamped by the Committee of Imperial Defence, Historical Section, Air Branch.
(447) Printed, coloured, map comprising 2 joined sheets, which are sheets 2H and 2L only of a map on multiple sheets. The combined map covers the River Tigris (Nahr Dijlah) between Al Aziziyah and Al Kumayt showing waterways, marshland, settlements, routes, telegraph lines, trigonometrical stations, etc. Reference tables; indexes to neighbouring sheets. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. Printed at the Survey of India Offices, Calcutta; 'Rough Provisional Issue', published under the superintendence of Colonel Sir S G Burrard, Surveyor General, 1915; 2nd edition of sheet 2L. MS additions, coloured, marking further details. The area covered by this map is now in Maysan and Wasit provinces, Iraq, and Ilam province, Iran.
(448)-(450) 3 sheets of Aircraft Reconnaissance Reports from the 3rd Indian Army Corps, 13 June 1916. MS and printed.
(451) and (455)-(457) 4 copies of sheet 2H, as described under item 447, but covering only the area between Al Aziziyah and Kut al Amarah (now Al Kut). Different MS additions, coloured, to each item.
(452)-(454) Aircraft Reconnaissance Report from the 3rd Indian Army Corps, with a covering note, 21 August 1916. MS and printed. -
