China: Yu-Chu. Track chart of HMS Porpoise from Tower Point to Yu-Chu Promontary, showing soundings, coastal features and the nature of the sea bottom. Scale: 1 inch to 3.8 miles (calculated). Compass rose. Signed by M S Gasley, Lieut (N) RN and F N Pelly, Cdr RN, and originally accompanying their report dated 27 March 1896. MS note in the upper margin reads 'This chart should only be considered as giving a rough sketch of the coast line'.
