China: Kwantung (now Guangdong) Province. Part of an Admiralty chart showing the West River [Si-Kiang], Macao and Hong Kong. MS additions show ports proposed to be open for foreign trade. Prepared for the proposed survey of the West River by HMS Tweed. Scale: 1 inch to 23 miles (calculated). Compass rose. Originally enclosed in report 'Opening up of the West River' dated April 1897.
