Chart of Wallis Island (in the Wallis and Futuna Islands, now the Iles Wallis), from a French survey, showing High and Low Islands, Low Islet, detached coral patches and an outline of the reef as observed from HMS Brisk. Scale: 1 inch to 2.7 miles (calculated). Compass indicator. Originally enclosed with a report dared 14 September 1866 from Charles W Hope, Capt, HMS Brisk to William S Wiseman, Bt, CB, Commodore, concerning anchorages in the South Sea Islands.
