Marlborough to St John: progress of the siege [of Bouchain]. Pioneers and wagons are being sent from Flanders, Brabant and Hainault. He counsels against harsh treatment of prisoners in England and encloses a list of prisoners on parole in France [SP 87/6/107] and a letter from some French officers in the Netherlands [SP 87/6/108]. Dated at camp at Avesne-le-seq. PS. that Colonel Kerr has been wounded. ff. 228, 229
