Marlborough to the council of state [of the Spanish Netherlands]: on orders from Vienna, Prince Eugene has left with the imperial and Palatine troops for the upper Rhine, leaving behind a regiment of hussars. He also left a statement [SP 87/6/80] of their pay, rations and forage, which Marlborough encloses, inviting the council to meet the expense, as well as that of certain [provision] carts. Dated at camp at Lens. f. 164
