Description

Marlborough [to St John]: Prince Eugene has arrived, and they have discussed what has been concerted with the earl of Peterborough in Vienna about the war in Italy. Prince Eugene has given him a letter about the sending of Hungarian troops to the duke of Savoy, which he encloses [SP 87/6/57]. Obligation on Vienna to contribute more to the war now there is peace with Hungary. Further difficulties with the provisioning of the Imperial and Palatine troops. Difficulties with the king of Sweden. Officers for Seissan. Dated at camp at Warde. ff. 122-124
