Marlborough to the states general of the united provinces of the Netherlands: he encloses copies of the letter to him from Kanitz and of Kanitz's orders from Count Fleming. He had no idea that this might happen. They will see from his reply that he will not consent to the march without having orders from the queen and themselves. It is important that they should not lose the services of this corps and of troops designated for the corps of neutrality at the same time. Dated at camp at Warde. ff. 105, 106
