Marlborough to St John: Sir James Wishart will make one last effort [to persuade the Dutch to augment their navy] before he leaves. The difficulties in provisioning the imperial and Palatine troops are almost resolved. Prince Eugene is expected, possibly with Palmes. The differences between the emperor [Joseph I] and the duke of Savoy are somewhat accommodated. He has sent Major General Seckendorff to Germany to try to raise the four battalions for the corps of neutrality. He encloses a letter from the king of Prussia [SP 87/6/28]. Arrival of a convoy of transports at Ostend. Dated at The Hague. ff. 61, 62
