Count Grumbkow's memorial to Marlborough: Subsidies should be paid more promptly. The king of Prussia has sometimes been excluded from peace negotiations; his claims to the principality of Orange and its lands in Franche-Comté. The declaration of Neufchâtel must be accepted by France. The princess of Holstein, the new abbess of Quedlinburg, must recognize the king as Erbvogt and protector. He asks that the queen use her good offices with the emperor [Joseph I] and the states general so that his demands may be met. ff. 36, 37
