Marlborough and Lord Townshend to Secretary St John, expressing outrage at the marquis de Guiscard's attack on Harley. Together with Sir James Wishart, they have been consulting with the Dutch naval deputies. They enclose copies of resolutions [of the states general] on the conditions of the elector Palatine for the use of his troops in the corps of neutrality [SP 87/6/11-12].
