Description

Francis Hare [to Tilson]: the continuing rains have made it impossible to attack Villars, who is entrenched in lines between Douai and Béthune, whereas Tournai is poorly manned and unprepared for the siege. The artillery will be brought up the Scheldt. Dated at Willemeau. ff. 316-318
