To [?] [ally] from [?] [French]: M. d'Albergotti appears not to have succeeded in his mission. The [French] princes are moving from the Valenciennes region to Cambrai. The manning of the French garrisons will not be settled until it is seen how many troops the allies leave on the frontier. He quotes a scurrilous soldiers' song. The elector of Bavaria has retreated to Mons. His misfortunes owe much to the advice of Count Bergeick. ff. 225-227
