Adam Cardonnel to Under Secretary George Tilson: news of the passage of the Scheldt and forcing the elector [of Bavaria] to raise the siege of Brussels has been delayed by adverse winds. Prince Eugene will soon call on Boufflers to surrender [at Lille]; in the meantime preparations are being made to besiege Ghent. Dated at camp at Beirlegem. PS. that he encloses several letters [SP 87/4/75-78] for Mr. Secretary [Boyle]. ff. 217-220
