Adam Cardonnel to Under Secretary George Tilson: The French are bringing up cannon from Douai. The attack on the counterscarp [at Lille] is imminent. He has prepared a draft treaty for the 4,000 imperial troops for Catalonia. Dated at Fretin. PS. that the counterscarp has fallen, and that he encloses the draft of a treaty between Marlborough and the Prince of Savoy. ff. 103-106
