Adam Cardonnel to Under Secretary George Tilson: Marlborough has received good wishes for a successful campaign from the president of the assembly of the states general and other notables. Honours accorded him at Ghent and Antwerp. He has met with Lieutenant General Lumley and the principal officers of the British troops in garrison. The transports from Harwich have arrived at Willemstad. French troops are not yet in motion. Dated at Ghent. ff. 26-28
