Adam Cardonnel to Under Secretary George Tilson: he did not write from Margate because Marlborough did not stop there. Difficulty in landing for lack of a pilot. Prince Eugene has arrived. Bad condition of the French troops arriving at Dunkirk [from the expedition to land the old pretender in the Forth of Firth]. Dated at The Hague. PS. that he encloses an extract of a letter from Brussels stating that the P. E. of Wales has not returned to Dunkirk. ff. 4-6
