Marlborough to Boyle: he has received the copy of Mr. Palmes's letter regarding sending 7,000 more infantry to Catalonia. He thinks that Count Wratislaw is imposing on Palmes and that the imperial court wants to lay the whole burden of the war on England. He encloses an extract [SP 87/3/83] of a letter from the duke of Moles regarding 4,000 infantry embarking at Naples for Barcelona. The contents of the duke of Moles's letter should go no further than the council. A successful attack on the counterscarp [of Lille]. Dated at camp at Fretin. ff. 165, 166
