Enclosure to SP 87/3/38: the enemy troops intended for the Moselle are on the march, and the Hessians should have crossed the Rhine at ?Rheinfelden. The elector of Bavaria has advanced his army towards the Saar under the orders of M de St Fremont, who has orders to march to Saarbrücken. The elector has ordered the troops at Strasbourg to march to Stollhofen, where he will join them. Advantages and disadvantages of forcing the lines of Detlingen. Prince Eugene does not have the provisions on the Moselle to act there, and may suddenly march to Flanders to join Marlborough. Dated at Strasbourg. ff. 79, 80
